What is Love?

A moment that will last forever

A moment that will last forever

This morning I was taking my morning peruse through Facebook for my usual morning positive post and I came along of a post from a young persons perspective of “what is love” and it was so simple and pure that it made me start to ponder why is it so overlooked at the simplicity of what love is?
Love can be as the young person said losing your front teeth and smiling anyway. I think that is the purest love, and that is simply loving where you are at in the moment you are there.
Too many of us in life get caught up in the moments that create too much details and allow our minds to over think, leading to undo stress that only our minds are creating. If we were to just let go and allow ourselves to be present and enjoy the moments that bring us true love we would all stop suffering in our own mental torment.
Life is really simple and only as complicated as we allow our minds to take it to the brink of insanity. Its moments in time that capture its true essence, ones that evoke a feeling that can only be captured in the rarest of moments it is in that journey that we realize it is not a destination.
I am sharing a picture that was taken in impromptu moment in time in my personal life where a friend from my past encountered my present. Thank God she did because the picture she captured is a moment in time that can never really be duplicated with the same conviction of pure bliss and passion from the kiss as my fiance swooped me up in his arms and at that moment forever in time we will have a picture that has been said to me many times, it is like that Life magazine cover from the 1940’s. I am blessed an honored that this very special picture can bring that kind of emotion out in others.
So I leave you with this “what is love?” it is a moment that only you can experience in your life at any moment in time if you only choose to see that in life it is all about the journey and not the destination. Go out and capture your own picture that has that same essence of the Life magazine cover shot and begin to share your moments of love.

“It doesn’t mat…

“It doesn’t matter where you are,
you are nowhere compared to where you can go.”

— Bob Proctor: author, business consultant, entrepreneur and
life mentor expert

Life is meant to be seen in a forward light.. there are reasons that a rearview mirror is tiny and the front windshield is so large. The rearview is to occasionally look back to see where we have come from but to remember that momentum is movement forward so to keep our eyes focused on the windshield of life and where we are going. Possibilities in life are endless when we open are heart and minds to explore and push beyond where we are. The thoughts that we allow to replay in our minds is what guides us into our current reality. I have always loved the wisdom of Dr. Seuss… simple and true take a moment to read “Oh the places we shall go” and explore where you can go from where you are now.

It’s not your aptitude but your Attitude

Charles Swindoll

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company… a church… a home.  The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes”

This quote is so true on how we can change the mere outcome of any given situation. It is where we as people choose to change our attitudes in the moment that gives us our perspective on our reality. Life is a roller coaster, it twist, it turns, takes us fast and furious at times slow and calculated at others, turns us upside down and yet always seems to deliver us back safe and sound to the ground and as we look back we can say what a ride and persist forward to the next one. Choice in ATTITUDE will always be free will and it is with that free will we can make our lives a trodden path or the road less travelled and look beyond the obvious and know that we are who we are by the thoughts that create our attitudes.

Leaves are turning…. as is our Real Estate Recovery

One thing is for certain the one thing we Realtors can count on is that change is the one thing we can always count on in any real estate transaction. It is always evolving, however, if we behaved like the government is now we all would be fired by our clients for lack of competency. How is that it is acceptable for both parties to be in pissing contest as to who can piss farther and get what they want. Lets just call the spade a spade and say this 2 year old temper tantrum must find a resolution so the recovery in real estate will continue and not halt the momentum that has been slowly building.

“Nothing is as …

“Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate” John Bon Jovi

Passion is a word most used to describe me in my life. The one thing you are sure to see is that everything I do in my life breathes passion. If I am at the gym my workout exudes passion. If I am with my friends my life exudes passion. When I am with my clients they see my passion for them and for what I do daily as a realtor. I love my ‘job’ if it can be called that. I am blessed to partake in one of the most exciting times in my clients life, purchasing a new home.

What a lender means to an agent?

What a lender means to and agent?

As they say it takes a village to raise a child… I think in real estate it takes that same village to raise a successful transaction and get to the closing table… and a key villager would be your relationship with your clients mortgage banker. I must say I have been blessed to have built a trusted relationship with a great mortgage banker, Jason Luey Lewis with Supreme Lending here in Austin, Tx. He works with his clients in a manner much like I work with mine, so we have over the years done many successful transactions together.  I encourage you to find that great village that will help ensure each transaction becomes a success.
